Team India has seen good times after a long time. Everything is going well for India right now.
The young brigade is doing a great job. Our players have hit the biggest 'JACKPOT' in their life.
Most importantly, Indian players have started playing well under pressure. They played almost all the games under the pressure of getting knocked out of the competition.
The team batted well under pressure,the team fielded well under pressure & the team bowled well under pressure.
Not many teams were able to defend scores of 140 & 150 in this tournament but India did that thrice.
Now the question in the mind of every Indian fan is that will the Indian team carry this momentum forward?
Will the Indian team make hay while the sun is shining?

Karikalan - I think the reaosn for that is that our bowling line up has a lot of limitations unlike other teams. Our bowling is more defensive & less attacking. But you have to appreciate the fact that even though the Indian bowling line up has so much limitations yet they managed to defend small targets against good teams. Our batsmen have done well in all matches apart from the first match agaisnt Pakistan.
Indian team has shown great fighting spirit in this tournament. They almost lost the first match to Pakistan but came back from no where to win it. They displayed the same fighting attitude against Eng,SA,Aus & Pak in the final

The most important reason for excellent performance of Indian team was that there was absolutely no expectation for anybody from this team and as such there was absolutely no pressure on the plahyers and they could play freely as even if they had lost, no player or their homes was in the danger of attack from the crazy people. This has made sea of difference in their performance.
No that India have wonn the Twenty/20 world cup, people in India will be expecting India to win all the matches they play in future and if they fail, the players will be criticised and attacked. I strongly feel that in the interest of better performance from Indian team, people should stop this trend.

Yes. Since India defeated Pakistan twice & Australia for the 20-20 match-ups, India proves to be a balanced bowling & batting Indian attacks VS Australia. India is on fire right now after winning the 20-20 championship however, the only way to test the limits of Indian fire cricket team is VS Australia for 50 over match-ups. How many one day internationals Indian cricket team is likely to win against Australian cricket team? I'll give a .01% of winning the series VS Australia.

I will view it from another angle.
Why can't we say we made things difficult to ourselves with some loose game in between.
Previously we were not able to get out of such self inflicted situations,where as now we have started coming back in spite of some slips.This is really a good sign.
The next step will be to give little or no scope for others which Australians were so far doing.
