My brother was trying to tell his boss' girlfriend about a sign she made: Venues at the 9:30 club- tickets inside. He tried to tell her what venues meant, but 10 minutes later, she still didn't get it. Finally he just said, "you know how some of our customers are." She was like "yeah, they're real idiots sometimes, right?"

By that standard you would see anyone with a rigid opposing viewpoint as ignorant. A truly ignorant person would refuse to argue the subject at all.
