Sure. It's a good idea for those numb nuts who think "oh this is forever" or "cheating is wrong". They all fall into it. And if it were mandated, far fewer people would think the sky was falling.

I think their should be two types of marriage licenses if enough people feel this way. A 7 year marriage for those who feel they need the time and a normal one for those who do not. Not all people feel the same way and to give a choice is fine, as long as the traditional option is still available for those of us who would choose it.

NO I do not agree. That is ridiculous and sad at the same time. God made Marriage and the marriage vow's to last a lifetime or till death you do part. Maybe if this certain lady would try to read the Bible she would see Marriage in a whole different light.

Yep, marriage is a contract. It should expire at some point with the option of being renewed. Ha ha ha not a bad idea really!

Whatever happened to "Till Death do us Part"?
To many people are getting divorced because they jumped into getting married. People do date for years anymore, and get to really know each other before getting married. They just run off to Vegas and tie the knot thinking that "oh we can always get a divorce if it doesn't work out"

I think if we went back to the way it used to be when you couldn't get a divorce unless your spouse was abusive or cheating. Alot less people would jump into marriage and the divorce rate would drop like crazy.

seen that on the news in another country dont remember what one. anyway i disagree. it could cause problems if it expired and then they didnt relize it and they might not been covered with insurance or other things that could come up.. seems like a easy way out without having to work on it..

an absolutley ridiculous idea! marriage is a life long commitment. You should know before you get married if you really want to spend the rest of your life with them. not spend 7 years with them and THEN decide o i don't really like you.

disagree, just get divorced, it's got to be cheaper than getting a new license and getting married again.

yeah, i heard about that and i think it's crap. marriage is a bond between two people and should not be made into sucha material thing. with a mentality like that, no wonder the divorce rate is so high. she'll never win.
