Aww girl don't worry about it! I mean, he doesn't have to know you are on your period. But if you feel like the cramps and stuff are ruining your time and you want to tell him why you feel this way but you are scared, then just tell him. Tell him you have cramps-its that time of the months, etc... Laugh it off. If he really likes you he'll understand and he won't care. Good luck chica. :)

by the amount of "likes" in this question i assume that you are young probably still in middle or early high school. So first how bad are the cramps? because they do hurt, an organ in your body is shedding its lining that doesn't exactly feel good. If it hurts to the point that it interferes with your life you should see a dr.
Next i would personally reccomend wearing a tampon. First off it doesn't make you not a virgin or anything weird like that. Also if you buy ones that are made for your size and needs and insert it properly it is compleatly comfortable. As long as you replace it ever 4 to 6 hours then you also don't need to worry about any real health problems.
About your bf there is no reason to feel weird telling him. All girls have it and we have it every month he and you might as well get used to that fact. If it weirds him out then that is his problem. You don't need to talk about it, no guys like that. If you are on it and you feel like telling him just tell him that you are having your period right now. Thats all that needs to be said if anything at all.

Seriously, you'll feel so much better once
you tell him. Yes, it will be a little akward,
but from that point on it won't be. He'll
understand if you don't want to do things
and stuff. I remember the first time I told
my boyfriend. I actually didn't tell him.
He guessed it. :P I had such bad cramps
in school and I was like my stomach hurts
to cover it up, and he was like, are you
on your period? It was really funny how
he guessed it. So we went to class and
after our class he came back with Midol for me.
It was really sweet. :P Anyways, just tell
him. Start with something like... This
is a little akward to be telling you this but..
and yeah. :P Good luck. :]
Oh, and for your cramps, I HIGHLY
suggest Midol. It's wonderful! :] <3

well your period is a very important and private aspect of your life. if you dont feel comfortable telling your boyfriend then you dont have to, but you might want to figure out why you dont want to tell him. your period should not cause any embarrasment because it is a very natural part of life. you should not be ashamed, but either way you dont have to feel like you have to tell your boyfriend. in terms of the bad cramps try to drink lots of teas near and while you are on your period. i discovered that refraining from milk during my period really brought the intensity down. regular excercise also helps a lot. good luck with everything

Unless he's from under a rock, he probably knows about periods and that you get one. I don't know how old you are or if this relationship is serious enough that will end in marriage (probably not since you sound pretty young), but one day when you have a husband, he will know all about your period, when you're on it, etc....and believe me, you won't care of he knows! There's nothing to be embarrassed about. They're a fact of life so get used to it.

Honey, just tell him that you're on your period.
You sound like you may be in your teens, so this IS going to be a little embarrassing, but it's something you're going to have to get used to for a long time.
Most guys don't want to talk about it. But, if he understands why you don't want to do certain things at that time of the month, it may prevent him from getting his feelings hurt, because he thinks you don't want to hang out with him.
You don't have to get into specifics with him.
You could tell him that "your Aunt Flo is visiting".....LOL!

All guys who get to regular "boyfriend status" know about their girlfrien's periods. It'll be awkward the first time you talk about it, but if you start with "this is really embarrassing, but..." I'm sure it'll be fine. It will be much better than leaving him in the dark about why you don't want to do things, or why you're not feeling well.

I wasn't brought up to think that periods were unmentionable, so I've never been concerned about people knowing I was having one. But I appreciate many girls are embarrassed about this totally natural and healthy condition. All I can say is that without exception all my lovers, both male and female, have not reacted adversely when I've been 'on'. Relax, tell him, it could bring you closer together.

tell him that u r havin ur period, u know my GF always tell me so I shut my mouth up and stop messing with her, u know I'm kinda like to mess with her the whole month, so when she tells me that she have bad cramps and stuff I turn to some kinda nice guy for like 5 days a month, its not a big deal, so its ok just tell him, and he'll understand.
