I want to get a used 08 honda accord in november, and my dad said that he knows good auctions that sells slightly messed up cars for a cheaper price
(my dad got a 03 mercdes benz for only 12k
only thing that needed to be fixed was the oil)
so my dad knows what hes doing at these auctions
so how much do you guys think i can get a 08 honda accord? im only 16 and i paying for it myself...i dont want to spend no more than 11-12k

honda and toyota are the most expensive cars??? what are you smoking??? the honda accord and toyota camry are the 2 most sold cars!! i dont think the american public wants to buy expensive cars
but anyways my dad got his benz in 06 and yes i know i can find a cheaper 08 accord somewhere...i saw a 07 accord for 8k on yahoo autos

LoL! You will NEVER get a Honda for 11-12K. Are you joking? This must be a joke! Perhaps if it's a 10 year old Honda in crappy shape will you buy it for this price. Sorry, but Honda's and Toyota's are amongst the most expensive cars because everyone wants them! Don't waste your money on a car that's been in an accident, even if it's a Honda, they will be problematic. Trust me!

I sell Hondas and the 2008 model just came out becasue the body style just changed. Meaning that they wont be discounting them much for awhile.....The only way you will find a 08 is if it was totaled in a accident and got rebuilt or something like that....at least for the price you want....And its not that Toyotas and Hondas are very expensive..they just hold there value very well...they are more reliable than any mercedes......my parent have one and i always tell them they need to trade it in for a honda. But either way look at the auctions and if you cannot find one for that price you could always look at the older ones and see if there is something else you like....All around you are very smart for wanting a Honda. They are very reliable!!!

a used 08? Thats a good one. Your dad bought a 5 year old car, and you want a new one for half price. You may be able to find one that fell of the truck or train during delivery, chances are it will be repaired but won`t sell for that low a price unless it needs lots of work. tell your dad to find a new car that has just hit the dealership that they will take a heavy loss on because he knows these things. Get Real

The 08's just came out, so there are not that many of them for sale, "messed up" or not. Maybe you should be looking at 2001 or 2002 Accords?

If you get one for anywhere near that price, it'll probably have a salvage title. Do you know how much damage it takes to total a new car? It will be far from "slightly" messed up.
If you saw an 07 for 8k, you should have bought it, but I wouldn't.
It's better to get one a little older that hasn't been wrecked.

you're unlikely to pick up a used 2008 model car anywhere... perhaps wait a year or two.
