Well, I sort of think so... But I am not sure. I shop at kmart for clothes and stuff and I live in a house, but it only has 2 bedrooms and my family has 5 people. People at school make fun of me, saying that I am a poor kid and that I am not as good as them just because they live in a nicer house and shop at nicer places. So, Am I poor, or are these kids making it up to make me sad?

I feel for you. So what if you shop at Kmart. I bet you work and save all of your money for college and tuition and books, and have a strong work ethic, girl.
Look a girl can spend $200 on a Cashmere sweater but 20 years down the line it will be in Goodwill, and a smart and savvy shopper will pick it up for $5, and be all the better and wiser. So who is smart here. And remember the cashmere girl will spend and spend and most likely go in debt while you are pursuing your masters' or doctorate degree.

We lived in a two bedroom house with 4 people, and yes, we were quite poor. We couldn't always afford food. Maybe you don't have as much as other people, and perhaps you are even poor in money, but you can be rich in spirit and that is what matters. Don't listen to immature people. One day they will realize that money doesn't make you a person, character and charity does. Just keep on living the best you can and don't worry about it. Be grateful for what you have. If you do that, you'll be a thousand times richer than they are.

Well, are you happy? Do you have a passion for something and like doing it all the time? Do you know yourself better? Do you accept people for the way you are? I would say your parents do not have a whole bunch of spending money, but that doesn't mean that you should be teased. If they ever make a comment like that to you, just laugh and say, "Well, I'd glad I'm not rich because if I was, I would be as shallow and absolutely pathetic as you." And walk away without looking back.

people like that are just mean, just because you live in a small house dosen't mean your poor! & their is nothing wrong with shopping at K-Mart for clothes! they have really cute clothing items! so don't let those people bring you down, and remind youself that you have a roof over your head, a family that ⥠you, and food on your table, and that is what really matters!

They are really rude and obviously don't care about people's feelings....I'm not poor, but I don't wear Juicy Couture sweatpants and use Prada purses. I go straight to the clearance rack at Wal-Mart. Even if you were lacking in money, you wouldn't be lacking in family, which is much better than expensive clothing and jewelry.
Is this question a joke? Your other one says "Am I spoiled? Kids at school are jealous of me". Well I actually took the time to answer this even though it's made up. >:(

You are not poor my dear. You have a house and good family. Maybe you belong to an average income family. Just ignore the kids teasing you. What important you have your family to support you and loves you always. Pray to our God that the kids will not tease you always and be friended to you someday. Who knows when you grow older you can have a nice house someday nicer than their houses. Just pray and study hard so that you can achieve what you want to be someday.

so you have a laptop and computer, designer purses, and the new nano and kids say your a spoiled brat?
but then in your double life you shop at kmart and kids make fun of you becuase your so poor.

theyre just making fun of you, i live in a house with two bedrooms and i have both my parents my little sister and little brother...its okay to shop at kmart, they actually do have cute stores there and well at least you have a computer and internet, so dont worry about it......dont listen to them and well, they'll probably stop. â¥

Being poor is how you see it! If you knew a girl who did the same thing you do would you think she is poor? and if you do don't let it bug you people can say what they want as long as your comfortable with it than whatever!

I don't consider you poor.
To me, poor is when you can't clothe or feed yourself, you don't have clean drinking and bathing water,and you don't have a place to call home.
So maybe your family can't afford some of the expensive things or houses your "friends" have, big deal.
As long as you are happy, it's good.
