oil has settled out or the viscosity is too high
try an upper-cylinder lubricant - if you just run the car without strain, it doesn't cause too much harm

it could have a bad oil pump in it,when they do it takes them a while to re-pump the oil back up,and that makes the engine a little noisy for a few minutes, they will rattle knock and bang around until the pump picks the oil back up,if its not high mileage it shouldn't even be doing this,it could also be that the oil you are using in it may be too thick, and that will cause it,it might pay you to change it and go to a thinner oil like a 10-w 30 or a 5-w-30,that may solve you problem with it,any car will make a little noise when not started or driven for a while ,but the noise shouldn't be that bad,,there could also be internal problems with this engine,it might be a good idea to have a good mechanic look it over real good, especially before winter time gets here, good luck with it.
