I skipped my week of non-active pills for a vacation but still am having a light period, kind of like spotting. I also just started a new brand of pills, could this be why I am still having a period? Should I worry about becoming pregnant? INFORMED answers only!!

When you don't use birth control as directed you risk the chance of having breakthrough bleeding or even having your period when you want to skip it.

I did this once, and it took months for my periods to come back when they should. Got them on my active pills, so I had no idea when it was going to start.

I won't be skipping those pills again that's for sure.

And, even taking them correctly and at the same time each day, you still have a chance of becoming pregnant. NOTHING is 100% effective.

Iv done this myself a couple of times.. you will get "breakthrough" bleeding but it wont last more that 2-3 days.. then back to normal.. and you shouldnt get preg because you are still having the pill as you should.. Iv been with my husband for 3 years and iv not been preg yet.
