For sure...almost 2 years ago, I found out I had cancer, that Carrie Underwood song, Jesus take the Wheel, was played constantly while I was going through it, also the Tim McGraw, Live Like you were Dying.....either of those songs..instantly bring tears to my eyes....I was/am lucky, I am cancer free...but those songs...just bring back many feelings, both of fear and hope....and I really HOPE I never have to feel that way again. ;)

Not on the day that she died, but on the day that I realized it was innevitably approaching, I was driving home from seeing my grandmother and was pretty shaken up about it. I was listening to this sports talk show in Los Angeles called the Dave Dameshek show and he had this bit called Dekembe Mutumbo's Songbook Collection (he's a basketball player that has been around for a really long time) where he would run an ad and play a song and basically do a voice that sounded like a really deep register version of Animal from the muppets singing the song over it, really juvenile stuff, but really funny too. It was the first time I heard one of these and the song was Nights in White Satin. It finally made me laugh a little and shifted my thinking onto things to be greatful about. Sorry you're feeling homesick. Hang in there! Hope you feel better.

This is a good question. Hearing a certain song doesn't necessarily change my mood, but will make me remember things good or bad that occured during my personal life.
