I work for a company that gets paid bi-weekly (Every other Friday) I started last Monday and they had just got paid the Friday before, so this past Friday wasn't a payday but this coming Friday will be. I'm not in the computer system yet though so I'm wondering if I'll get paid this Friday or if I'll have to wait another two weeks?

-Also, when you're paid bi-weekly are you paid for 1 or 2 weeks at a time?-

I also wanted to add, that when I said I'm not in the computer system, I mean that my hours have only been calculated by pen and paper at my location and not through the company.

Well, your checks are for two weeks. If they only paid you for one, when wuold you get the other week they owed you?!!?!?

As far as if you will get a check, that depends. It would depend on when the pay periods end and when the checks are cut. Why don't you ask your boss instead of us?!?!?! I bet he'd have a much more accurate answer.

It depends. It's possible you'll be paid this coming Friday if they only have a week delay between the end of the pay period and payday. If they have a two-week delay, you may have to wait until the payday after that.

When you're paid bi-weekly, you are paid for two weeks at a time.

Typically, companies pay everyone at the same time, so you'll get paid the coming Friday, even though you won't have been there for two weeks yet. (You've been turning in the pen-and-paper log of your hours, right?)

So it may not be a lot yet, but by next pay day (two weeks from this coming Friday) you'll have a much healthier paycheck since it'll include everything you've earned since this payday.

Bi-weekly pay will be two weeks pay.

You should get a paycheck this Friday. It may be both weeks or it might be only one, depending if they hold a week. Some companies do and some don't.

You'll be paid for 2 weeks at a time.

The way it sometimes works, you'll get your first paycheck in 4 weeks from when you started, for the first 2 weeks you worked. After you leave this job, you'l get a paycheck for the last 2 weeks you worked, eventhough you'll be somewhere else.

Ask your HR dept. to be sure. This'll be an easy question for them.
