Dale Hawerchuk

Glen Greene
In 11 seasons, Doan has broken 60 points 3 times. Over the course of his career he averages 47 points per 80 games.

Hawerchuk scored twice as many points as Doan, in fewer games.

So, if Doan is the best my franchise has got, I've got some real problems.

Much like Ray Bourque, Shane Doan will spend most of his entire career with the Phonenix Coyotes until the end and will make a cup run with contender and much like Joe Sakic will be the face of the franchise through transition.

Doan isn't a numbers guy has much as he is a leader and all around player and even at that puts up 60 points a year which would qualify has a producer. Shane Doan may have only played one season with Winnipeg but has time has shown all three ownership groups want this guy on the squad

*Like I'm Telling You.........
I may be misinterpretation the question, I read it has player who has wore both Jets and Coyotes Jerseys.

Keith Tkachuck would be a sexy answer for maybe the Greatest because that is defined solely by numbers. Looking at the "best" I think there should be a little more responsibly and consideration when answering that. Shane Doan has fought, blocked shots, back checked, created room for players and also scored himself (over 20 goals the last 7 season). There is more to hockey then just numbers and since your comparing number from 2 different eras, if you put Doan back in the 80’s he would get 40-50 goals a year and be fighting with Cam Neely for 2nd All Star Right Wing

Well, the definition of 'best' means one. So a list the best is really an impossibility

In the case of the Winnipeg Jets/Phoenix Coyotes franchise, the best player has been Dale Hawerchuk

Ranks 1st in Career Points 929 (Thomas Steen is 2nd with 817)
Ranks 1st in points per game 1.30 (Teemu Selanne ranks 2nd with 1.28)
Ranks 1st in Goals 379 (Keith Tkachuk ranks 2nd with 323)
Ranks 2nd assists 550 (Thomas Steen is 1st with 553)

Holds team records for most points in a game 6, which he did 3x

He is the teams all-time playoff scoring leader
He is the only member of the Hall of Fame to play more than 50% of his career with the franchise

Well, Dale Hawerchuk is the franchise's all-time leader in most cataegories. And he's the only player in the franchise's history to be elected to the Hall of Fame (Bobby Hull played 18 games for them in the NHL but had he ot played in the WHA, I'm sure he would have been in the Hockey Hall of fame sooner as a Black Hawk)
