I LOVED playing hide and seek after dark...ooooh...kinda spooky...

I would always play hide-n-seek with my neighbors, and when it would get dark, we would LOVE to keep playing! There weren't many street lights, so, it was extra dark! I loved it!

Hmmmm... We played so many games outside. Fort was always fun. My brother was the commander. On my grandparents farm we'd play out in the haybarn, or go in one of the fields behind the house and create a bon fire. Of course, since I was the youngest, I was always receiving threats to be throw into it....
We would play Batman. One time, I even took to Baptizing all the kittens that were roaming around that big farm house... Lol.
The best times were always spent outside. It's a shame kids now a days are too stuck on video games...

HIDE & SEEK !! Because when I was a kid & lived in a different section of town; near my home hiding places was from one corner to the other !!But could not go off or past the "BLOCK" that we know was OUR street.. do'nt worry,'We all knew how it was sectioned off when we'd play !!.Meaning that we still could only go so`far !!. kids as young as 8 to about 17 only was allowed to join in.!! "What great summer memories & FUN I have had ;-)& at times my entire block/street would join in on certain games which made the playing area more [wide'-o`pen] if you will ..!?!.. ;-D '`R"r.r`r,r'.-

Red Rover was a good one...like you, I loved playing night games....we played hide & seek all the way down the block with everyone (all of us were close to the same age), it was so fun!! So many bushes & big trees to hide behind! :-)

We spent all of our time outdoors... I think Ghosts in the graveyard (modified hide N seek game) was the best when you had a large group of kids. I also LOVED dodge ball (I know strange for a girl), football and tetherball.

We played Army war games and I liked to hide in the Fox Hole we made. We even made our own obstacle course for training.

i especially love to play hide and seek when it got dark also.summertime they wasn't no curfew back then.
