I finished an English homework assignment, and I need checking for punctuation errors. I am turning this in tomorrow, and I need checking because I want to study the mistakes I made in preparation for the quiz tomorrow.

20. John Buse, the president of our class, asked me to sell tickets for the benefit concert.

21. Mr Stanton, will you please give me a reference?

22. Ouch! Watch where you're going!

23. Hoping to meet Oprah Winfrey, we got tickets to a taping of her show.

24. My niece, P.J., will celebrate her twenty-first birthday tomorrow. ( I was confused with this, because, the abbreviated name leads to 2 puncuation marks: A period followed after a comma. Could this be right?

25. Mom or Dad or Uncle Paul will cook dinner tonight.

21. American usage would put a period after Mr. British usage does not. If you're an American, use a period.
24. The period followed by a comma is correct.
25. Good as is. No commas necessary. But the sentence would read better if it were "Mom, dad, or Uncle Paul will cook dinner tonight." The sentence has too many OR's

21 and 22 need quotation marks because they are spoken.

PJ doesn't need periods after each letter because part of the nickname but the periods aren't. Yes, the comma there is correct.

25 You would leave out the first "or" and put a comma.

All the rest are fine. Good luck.

I think you Aced it- I'm pretty sure the only way you would need commas on 25 is if it said Mom, Dad, or Uncle Paul. Since there is the word "or" between each name, I don't think you need any commas.
whoops- I didn't catch that there was no period after Mr.

It's all good. The P.J. thing is correct. The suggested commas for 25 are a matter of taste, and I think it would look better as it is.
