Security is anywhere where peace is; Where doubt never dwells; Where contentment lulls the heart to sleep; Where fear has no face. And it's sad as obviously, no place like this on earth. In other words, in the language of the world: - SECURITY IS JUST A LIE.
One could be the richest, and the other, the poorest...but they share the same clouds of insecurity. It varies in nature depending on each other's level of condition,..but it sums up just the same: - SECURITY CANNOT BE ATTAINED...At least not here where we stand...or what we have in hand.

To be completely honest here: My security, such as it is, lies in both my manual and mental dexterity. In both my hands and my mind. It comes in the simple form of versatility. This versatility has kept a roof over my head and kept my bills paid throughout the years even when I jumped from location to location, from vocation to vocation.
I can build and program a fiber optic programmable controller or build a house, etc. I can coherently defend Jung while still admiring Freud or pour a cement slab. Or explain logically why the Dallas Mavericks were embarrassed in the first round last spring.
I can do the physical things because I'm not afraid to be physical. I can do the rest because I believed I could.
Security lies in applied belief.
>>>
Where I have to disagree with Jach V is in that his definition is singular. Security, or lack of security, comes in many forms. While we can not realistically feel 'secure' about the world we live in the or circumstances of outside events that effect us all, we can still very much feel secure about ourselves.
>>>
(Of course, it also helps to listen to the angel sitting on my shoulder every now and then. Right now she's telling me to not sound so much like I'm full of myself. I'm telling her I'm just trying to be honest here.)

hmmmm...
In my feet? At this moment, my left foot is sprained and my root foot is tired of doing most of the work.
In my hands? They feel stiff and hesitant as I tap this out.
In my back? It serves me well, but cannot take the load alone.
In my shoulders? They are tense, so no.
In my head? It's confused, and is asking for a time out.
My security lies in my "third eye", or what some refer to as the inner voice. This is the place which if it's actually given voice, holds the keys to wisdom and the innate quality of Knowing, which is the seat of security.
Thank you for asking Enki. It's always a pleasure to connect here with you.

I was thinking how I could sincerely answer this, & saw jach v's answer. .....in the language of the world.....security is not attainable.....
This is perhaps the singularly most LOGICAL answer I've seen in the section, (that in spite of ramblings & assumptions, I like the best).
There can be no debate about it, from any perspective.
So many of us have a tendency to focus on ourselves, so subjectively, instead of using logical reasoning. I know I'm guilty, too. I respect most of the answers & believe they came from the "heart"--although I do sometimes get weary of certain people repeating the same things, & "puffing" about themselves.
I'm encouraged by jach; most often I'm impressed by his answers.
Enki, I hope you're well. Love ALWAYS from Puff...

Hi,
My security lies in my hands, in my head, in my knowledge and in my imagination in that through combining all these I earn a living.
On my shoulders is a heavy load as I carry so much responsibility for myself and others. People know they can come to me for help and support and I won't ever let them down. Taking on a chair role in the community means I suppose the future security of that venture lies with me and on my shoulders.
At my feet is my little doggie curled up and asleep. Her security lies with me, she gives me so much love and emotional comfort in return.
My emotional security lies with my family and loved ones; their happiness means everything to me. My world would crumble if anything happenned to them. Ultimately, it is with them and above it all, it is in the hand of Fate where my securities lies.

My security lies within my head, because it is my intelligence that keeps me in touch with my security.

My security is in my hands, at my feet, at my back, on my shoulder and my head. My security is me. It is within me. It doesn't come from external things, not from the beautiful things I possess, not even from the people who love me (although I am grateful for them all). It comes from me. I am my own security. I believe in myself. I understand my own power. I am in control. I am the creator of my future. I am in charge of my own happiness.
Insecurity comes from believing yourself helpless, believing that security comes from outside things (money, friends etc). Security, freedom and true joy comes from recognizing that you are empowered because all that you need is inside you & the things outside of you are just a beautiful bonus.
Peace.

My strongest sense of security lies on my shoulders. I have strong, broad shoulders that can carry much, including my own burdens and those of loved ones, if necessary.
