He ended things last night because hes confused on how he feels right now and wants to be friends. (I know there is no one else trust me I know him) I agreed to being friends and hes not saying we will never work just not now. After some thinking i dont know if I can handle the friend thing. Should I try it? I am just still very much in love with him

The "friendship" wouldn't be mutual. You would be waiting for him to "come around" while he may be looking for someone else. It would only hurt you and if he does find someone else you would be crushed and could potentially miss an opportunity to meet someone who could be perfect for you. I would recommend to stay away from this type of friendship. If its meant to be then you will cross paths with him in the future.

Yes, try it. But if you find you can't handle it, just say, "Hey, I can't handle just being friends." Then let him make the next move. Meanwhile, conduct yourself like you two have really broken up. Move on, go out, find other interests. Reconnect with your old girlfriends. Go visit your cousin. Take up tennis or something. Don't sit around waiting for him to make up his mind. He never will as long as he has you on a string. Good luck
