We will be in Hamilton Bermuda in October and would like nice accomodations for 2 adults an 2 children. Safe, nice view within Moped distance of points of interest and relatively inexpensive $150-200 per night.

The St Georges Club, it's a timeshare apt. but you can call and see if they have availability they also have complimentary shuttle service. (golf course view)
Grotto Bay Beach Resort, ask for a room close to the lobby as the wifi may reach:) (ocean view, and activities).
You may want to look into cruise to Bermuda as food, lodging, activities and accommodation are provided inclusive as well as the ocean view.

Here are all the other hotels I know about:

Beach cottage communities (Elbow Beach, Ariel Sands, Pink Beach Club & 9 Beaches are just a few),
Quaint B&B's (Aunt Neas),
The Fairmont Hamilton Princess, is THE posh hotel in Hamilton (City). Fairmont Southampton Princess posh (Rural). Also the Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa is a newly completed place that is supposed to be posh too.
The Grotto Bay Beach Club has a mixture of the two's feel. I have stayed at Grotto and Aunt Neas, and liked them both (free wifi @ Aunte Neas).
Pompano Beach Club, and it isn't cheap but it is inclusive of a full breakfast and 5 course dinner each night, you only need a lunch in between.
There is also Dawkins Mannor which is like an efficiency apt.w/ kitchenette that comes highly rated amongst other reviewers..
With The trip Advisor you can read peoples reviews but keep in mind people are more likely to give reports when things are unsatisfactory.

Well, everything is within Moped distance on Bermuda, but there are no inexpensive hotels/resorts on Bermuda. Here is a website where you can try to book rooms at all of Bermuda's resorts that would be considered "nice". Hope you find something.

All the resorts are beautiful with beaches you will not believe.
I lived on Bermuda for a year about 40 years ago. Loved it. If you get there, see if there is still a Beneviedes Restaurant on Middle Road out by the old Naval Air Station. And a Chinese restaurant in a second story storefront on Front Street. And a place called the Forty Thieves Club. Oh, my word! Memories!

Its not easy to travel by moped with kids unless they are a little older, but the taxis are everywhere and the cost pretty much works out the same. If you stay in Hamilton proper, then you won't need either because you can walk everywhere and some of the larger hotels have transportation. The Hamilton Princess has a nice view and is close to everything. You can take their transport (boat) over to the other Princess for the beach and the Dolphin swim or the van can drop you in town, but its much nicer to walk to town. At first glance the Princess is expensive, but check out www.bermuda.com for specials and call the Princess directly and ask for special rates. Have a wonderful time.
