I think that's an excellent point. No one gave a damn about Saddam Hussein and his inhumane treatment of the Iraqi's until we wanted a strategic base of operations in the Middle East to augment capitalism under the guise of democracy.

Once he had been contained, and his regime destroyed, we should have removed all troops from Iraq and left those insurgents that wanted to fight each other, thus saving American and coalition forces lives.

It makes you wonder how Saddam was able to contain all these troublemakers that were running around in Iraq while he was in power, and once he was removed from power, all the rats and roaches crawled out of the woodwork to spread havoc through out the populations of Iraq.

What did removing Saddam from power accomplish?

Only one thing: Removing the constant threat against Israel, and securing more oil and natural gas for the Western nations, nothing more!

Thank you,

Too many politicians are liars, cheats and thieves, re: the costs scandal as merely one occasion. Tony Blair is the international chief in those "skills", extremely with regard to the invasion of Iraq. he's a congenital liar and a traitor to this united states of america and could be hung. His sole reason in the back of entering into politics became into to make himself extremely rich at any value, witness his sucking as much as the human beings over Iraq, and to the different united states of america silly adequate to be taken-in by using that revolting man or woman.

I cared but then again I am not the average apathetic, uninformed American. I have always cared about the conditions under which most of the worlds population lives and unlike Liberals I feel it is the duty of a free people to help those that are oppressed and sending a few dollars of rice or wheat is not enough- people deserve to be free. And yes I put my money where my mouth is with 14 yrs of military service.

Didn't you wonder why we didn't take care of him the first time? I did. Did you (right or wrong) have a sigh of relief when that noose was slipped on. The guy was a threat, he hated us, and when 9-11 happened, weren't you just a little curious about how much of a hand he had in it? Do you think OBL just cooked up all the funds without any help? Yes I cared.

Yes I did care. I had cared since the Iran Contra deal. And later after the invasion of Kuwait. Then the gassing of the Kurds and the stories that were making there way here of torture and murder.

Yes I was, I also supported it because I thought Saddam had nukes.

Now that I found out we were lied to by Bush and Cheney I'm mad.

Can't say I cared all that much. I never thought about it. Saddam certainly wasn't the only bad guy in power.
