I never like to see the Presidency and the Congress all one party. Its actually better when there are differences. Sure, things move more slowly, but it does help ensure that the things that are accomplished are at least somewhat amenable to all. Its part of the checks & balances.

You cannot be assured of anything with any party. I'm a Republican but I'm not a party man, meaning I have voted for Democrats. I vote for the candidate no matter what affiliation or religion he or she might be. The party system just serves to divide us all on issues instead of finding common ground on which we should be building our future.Forget about the balance of power between parties and get some people in office that can work together to solve problems and not bicker about who's idea it is or who's going to get credit. When our officials work together to get problems solved and bring about change for the better WE ALL WIN!!!!
Think about that when you're in the voting booth. You all ARE going to the polls aren't you?

Already had a Democratic majority all through the 90"s with a Democrat in the White House so we already know what it will be like.
Higher taxes.
New governmental agencies to handle the administration of new entitlement packages.
Slashed Military budgets followed by an attack.
Higher crime rates.
Socialized medicine.
Industry hamstrung by unachievable environmental goals.
Long winded EU style negotiations with rouge states while they build military strength and nuclear programs.
Acting in concert with socialist states to achieve a one world government as proposed by Walter Cronkite and endorsed by Hillary Clinton.
Bosnia style air raids to solve problems in Eastern Europe where the US has no interest.
Appeasement for China and Russia.
Civil war in Iraq exported to Jordan, Syria and Lebanon by refugees.
High crude oil prices and higher gasoline prices on low supply.
US peacekeeping forces in Africa acting as target practice for warlords.
Increased illegal migration from the third world.
Unfettered drug trafficking across open borders.
Unlimited aid to adversarial nations.
Veto free UN compliance.
Free access to government for interest groups such as: Code Pink, MoveOn, George Soros, the NY Times.
Resurgence of survival and militia groups inside the US.
Run away Justice Department and Attorney General like Janet Reno.
Repeal of the Patriot act.
Homeland security nullified.
I could go on all day.
How to prevent it? Educate the newest of the voters who don't remember it.

Why does it have to be someone from the corrupt two party duopoly to begin with?
We are in this sad state of affairs today because election after election we succumb to the fraud of duopoly politics, i.e., a two party system.
It will always be the same if we keep playing the same game over and over again. And Democrats are one-half of that problem.

As a Democrat, I think an all-Democrat government would be as imbalanced and destructive as an all-Republican government. We need the balance of both to gain the benefits of both parties and for each party to keep the other in check.

There is an enormous backlog of legislation that is necessary for the health and welfare of the American people.
The Republicans have blocked this legislation for decades.
We have waited too long for this legislation to be enacted.
It is very important that we control all three branches of government.
The health and welfare that we save may be yours. Vote Democratic in 2008.
Thank you,
Mike
