I look them up in the dictionary. That way if I were engaged in a conversation later, I could use my "new" word correctly instead of looking like an idiot using it wrong!

My dictionary's been missing for about a year now so I just ask people what the word means.

*looking up 'understand' in dictionary*... .

Sometimes I comprehend in context.. othertimes when comprehension fails via that mode.. I grab the Merriam-Webster..

I love learning new words and usually look them up...I have sticky notes all over with stuff I find interesting or want to look up.

I usually look them up in the dico, I learn them faster that way.

I look them up. Then I over use them until every one around me is extremely annoyed.
