Weirdest - no offense, but California seems to lead the pack

Unique - they all are, in some way or another.

California- don't get me wrong, there's plenty of crazy laws and backwards people in other states, BUT.. how many states have hundreds of ethnicities that all conform to another ethnic group? What I mean is, what other state (maybe New York, but their more culture oriented) has Chinese rappers, African-American ballet dancers, Caucasian gang members, Mexican country singers...?

Besides that, I believe we have more Amusement Parks, more traffic per capita, and 2 of the biggest, most used Ports across the U.S.- Long Beach and Los Angeles Ports.

What else can I add? Besides the fact California population will double in the next 50 years? Or the fact that California has been estimated to be half it's size by the next century? Or that we have an established million+ beach lovers who visit daily?

Yes this post is bias as I'm from California, BUT I'm moving out in a few years. These were just my observations/ opinions. Good luck!

Vermont gets my vote. They are so passionate about our rights and freedoms. I visit there often and there was even talk they wanted to secede because of the lousy job the current admisitration has been doing. It's refreshing to see a free thinking place like VT.

There's one thing that really baffles me, though. There's a lot of yuppies, see. Where do they work? Driving around you see a lot of Benz's, BMW's, Audis, Volvos, Saabs, etc. (all with VT plates). It seems like the ratio of nice cars to good places to work is way off.

It must be Utah. The most bizarre liquor laws you will ever find, and then there's all those Mormons! It's really a great state though and not everyone is Mormon. Don't forget about the Great Salt Lake... so salty you can float!
