Everyone overrates them. I mean seriously. I was watching the kidztube yesterday. They've got this whole world called Bella Sara where you can collect horsy cards and even adopt and care for your very own horse online... *BLARF*
Without horses, there'd be no:
1.) Black Beauty
2.) Spirit
3.) My Little Pony
4.) Old Wild Westerns
5.) Yummy horse-meat sandwiches
6.) No super-erotic dirt-old gay magazines from the 50's.
7.) Your sick friends probably wouldn't e-mail you a woman doing a horse as a sick prank.
8.) No Mr. Ed.

4.) Mulan wouldn't have a horse in battle and Belle would have found her father through something else.
5.) The on-going unicorn craze
6.) Lots of people will be bald or have very short hair and have lots of split ends if you get my drift.
7.) No bets in horse racing
8.) Forget having horsies on the merry-go-rounds...
9.) Superstitius people will probably never have a horseshoe for luck.
10.) No games of horseshoe
11.) No Monopoly horse game piece.
12.) The Mustang car would would probably be a native Water Buffalo.
13.) Native Americans would never have known what a horse looked like if it wasn't for Europeans bringing them over.

How have they not? The Indians used them. Transportation would have been even slower if we had to walk. Hunting and carrying food would have been more cumbersome. I don't know how society would be different. Pretty sure the car would have come eventually. No horse races and betting!

well for one thing, they made hunting buffalo ( now an endangered species) easier and the cowboys killed hundreds of thousands.
