I've never been to a musical or anything so I'm not really sure....but I'm going to see The Producers in Atlantic City what am I suppose to wear to that...do we dress up for something like this or jeans are an okay.....also my boyfriend is coming with what is acceptable for him to wear as well?

well, its up to you. i saw wicked last night and wore black jeans and a nice blouse, while i saw other people in dresses, and others in blue jeans and a tee. i suggest trying to look nice, maybe dress pants or a skirt with a nice shirt, and you bf could wear dress pants or kahkis with a polo/golf tee

I figure what you would wear to a job interview is the same idea for theater. I think jeans and t-shirts are a tacky idea, unless, its a shirt of the show (for example I have a Wicked T shirt that I wore to the show) but also don't go over board on dressing up.
It drives me crazy to see little kids in ties and jackets and adults dressed as if they're off to a ball or something.
If all else fails, you could call the theater and ask.

when I went to Broadway, I wore no longer something yet denims. So, traveling communities are an identical. do no longer seem all hooker-ish nonetheless. that's basically an excellent social experience with people doing a coach for you. by ability of ways, i like wicked! I observed it in manhattan. desire the traveling group is in basic terms as stable! have exciting!

Many people dress up a little for the theatre, sport coat and tie for him, heels and hose for you. But don't make it more than semi formal. You want to be comfortable also. There will be people there dressed every which way from jeans to tux's if it is at night.
