I think loons all over the US have been screaming for years for Islamic leaders to make some kind of meaningless public gesture of remorse over 911.
As if "Islam" as a whole were responsible for it, or obliged to care about our problems.
So Ahmadinejad basically can't lose on this deal. He looks like a peacemaker just for making the offer.
And if it's not gracefully accepted, as it won't be, the obvious implication will be that it's the US which is being unreasonable, not Iran (or "Islam" in general).

It would be a negative for America and a positive for Ahmadinejad. Al Qaeda is not an Iranian front organization so the attack would seem to be misplaced.
He is a scumbucket but the world would like to see him get his just desserts not a misplaced sock in the snoot.

I think it would be perfect but I hope the families do not let themselves be used as propaganda for this terrorist regime who only wants ill for the US and its allies. The best is if they boycott him and then demand that the Iranian government be sued for funding terrorism around the world.

That is a funny image. I really can't see why anybody actually involved would be so stupid as to allow that person to use them. There are always a few useful idiots out there unfortunately.

Well he may want to meet them, but do they want to meet him?? I'd like to see him come to New York for a day and
walk around that city.. How far do you think he'd make it before Or good ol' boys up north give him a warm New York welcome?

Considering he is about 4'11" (without his elevator shoes on) it is totally possible.
