I just downloaded SpyBot Search and Destroy, I scanned my computer and removed all the problems... I am still having pop-ups after that. What is going on? I have a firewall and I have pop-up blockers. It said there are no more problems. What's the deal?

Comodo Firewall is very good if you know how to use it. I recommend Zone alarm its free for ever and its very easy to use and it does ask if you want to aprove to open everything, But thats normal.

A good anti-spyware would have to be one of the following : Ad-Aware 2007, AVG Anti-Spyware, CWShredder, Spybot Search And Destroy, Windows Defeneder, Spyware Blaster. I am pretty sure all these programs are free forever too.

Ad-Aware 2007

This is also free forever

Those are pretty good suggestions. I highly recommend getting ad-aware 2007, you can also get as many anti-spyware downloads as you want only one firewall though.

All downloads can be found at

Filehippo.com

Im pretty sure these block popups

Pop ups are different than any of the others.
These are
Viruses
Trojans
Malware
Spyware
POP-UPs
Cookies
So you will need different softwares for each.
I have Virus Software, Spybot, Adaware and I use Disc Cleanup thats it
I have found that Popup blockers are fair at best. I don't even use one.

Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, and Opera have perfectly good built in pop-up blockers. They must be enabled to work. After they are enabled pop-ups should be rare.

IE7 : Tools > pop up blocker > turn on
Firefox: Tools > options > content >Check "block pop up windows
Opera: Tools > Quick Preferences > Block unwanted pop-ups

If you get more than 3 pop ups per day with the browser pop up blocker enabled, you are infected with malware. If you follow all the following steps it should get rid of your problem and prevent future problems. All programs listed are free.
