I will not support any union especially the UAW. Unions have ruined our manufacturing and i have personally seen two Big companies,Fruit of the Loom and hagar move to mexico because their people voted for a union. The next day the doors were closed.I think this was about 2002.

The UAW is nothing more than a failed leftover Socialist experiment from the past. There are a few reasons for the demise of the U.S. auto industry, and these guys are one of them. The auto companies are crippled by employees who have this government entitled mentality. Until the auto companies are free from the benefits debt they're carrying around they won't have the necessary capital to get back on top, and they can thank these unions who are antiquated and need to go away!

Yeah, it'll be a long time before I buy a Union made car. My personal boycot begins now, until UAW apologizes to the Marines.
And I love lametorg response, total denial. Makes me laugh at how out of touch with reality some people are. Now, had it been the NYT, maybe.

The UAW is trying to strike it's way to the unemployment line anyhow. once they go bankrupt and have to sell the property the marines can buy it and park anything they want there.
It's their property and they can do what they like, but they just lost a whole lot of customers for american cars that's for sure.

Unions are the most democratic of our institutions, members vote for their leaders and vote on the decisions they make, as opposed to corporations which are little monarchies. Besides the Union parking lot is Private property, I thought you cons were all about Private Property rights.

Their little strike and previous strikes is why so many american jobs from days of yore are now being held by chinese, vietnamese, san salvadorians making 30-cents an hour!

Considering the near-death state of affairs with respect to the US auto industry, one can only now conclude that the UAW is nothing more than a leftist plot to destroy America.
