If it is a finished leather you can use denatured alcohol- wrap an old white t-shirt around your hand and dampen with water- add alcohol and do a few passes over the area then blend out- you can do this up to three times before you need to cure the finish back up with a hair dryer before trying any more. when finished use your regular polish or conditoner.
If suede it is simply a case of sanding- again blending out to prevent a lighter spot
Hope this helps

If it is a small mark, try some "Whiteout." That's the stuff from office supply stores that covers mistakes on paper. It works on white leather as well, I've seen it done.
