there are as many other ethincities to that are in jail also you know???Not mexicans that statement would hurt some one

I am not a Sociologist or a Criminologist, but I believe that it could just be that they have committed crimes. Thats why most of the people are in jail regardless of their race. If however you were lokign to make a racial stereotyping comment from this, lok at this fact. The number of Illegal immigrants in this country is greater than the number of Legal Hispanic residents. Thus if they come here illegally in the first place it is a sign they have no respect for the Laws here and as such are prime candidates for time in the Correctional Facilities that are designed to hold Criminals away from the majority Poulation.

Poor people go to jail. Rich people have high priced lawyers who negotiate house arrest.

Because the white judicial systems more readily forgives the crimes of white Anglo-American people than the crimes of Mexican people.
