Ok, when does a baby start growing for its size and not its age??? I had an ultrasound and the baby was 4 days younger than i thought. But i want to know if all babies are born different sizes when does that start?? With my first at 18weeks you couldnt tell i was pregnant i just looked like i had a big lunch and now i am 18 weeks with my 2nd and i looks like i have a basketball under my shirt. I am scared to death because my 1st was 8lbs 2 and had torticollis in her neck because she had no room. you could feel her heartbeating through my skin it was so tight. I am 159cm and 51kgs and scared my baby is going to be HUGE my mum had all 9 pounders and my partner is 61/2ft and 90kgs. So please can someone tell me when my baby will grow for his size???

Please don't be scared that your baby will be huge. Lots of women deliver 9 pound babies (and bigger) with no problems at all. What really matters is the size of the baby's head, not the weight.

Also, women who are smaller or petite tend to have smaller babies. Rarely does God make a baby too big to fit through the mother's pelvis. It doesn't matter how big you look on the outside, either, cause every woman carries different. I looked really small and had an 8.5 pound baby. My friend looked HUGE and had just a 6 pound girl.

Everything will be fine!

I don't understand exactly what you're asking, what do you mean, "grow for his size?" Babies grow at different rates all through the pregnancy. Your belly will grow at different rates with each pregnancy. A bigger belly does not automatically = a bigger baby. You could have more fluid than the last time, or the baby could just be lying in a position that makes you look bigger. Second pregnancies show earlier (generally) and a lot of women feel like they are bigger the second time around.

Have they taken measurements of the baby via ultrasound? Although they aren't 100% accurate, they can tell if the baby is an appropriate size for age. You said the ultrasound had baby dating within 4 days of your date (which presumably is calculated based off your last period, right?). If you're dating within 4 days, baby is appropriate size.

Don't stress, unless your doctor has seemed concerned, then you shouldn't be either.

Try not to stress to much the more babies you have the more you tend to pop out quicker, im on number 4 and im 3 months and huge lol i got bigger the more i have first two were in the 8 pounds and my last was 6 pound 4, so i think its a myth of your baby gets bigger the more you have! my hubby 6 foot and im same size as you , from all my experience having kids the baby puts on most of its weight the last month or two if you go over your due date then they will put on alot of weight then also. your first baby may not of been in a good position to start of with as well as not having much room, your body has already stretched once so this time round your baby may be much better, all pregnancy's are different so try not to compare this one to your first so much. My baby is now measuring 4 days later from my ultrasound but that doesnt matter so much now.
Try not to scare your self as you wont be positive for labour just full of fear over the size and you wont have a good experience.
Good Luck
Also just remember its not really the weight of the baby that matters its the size of the head ! my 6 pounder was harder than my 8 pounders as her head measured more than the others, and the size of your mums baby's shouldn't matter to much hubby's sisters were all 7 pounders and me to and i had 8 pounders :) hang in there

There isn't really an answer to that, though in very, very early pregnancy all fetuses should be the same size I suspect that very quickly the grow at different rates.

Also all ultrasound age estimates should list a margin of error.

Second pregnancies women tend to get bigger faster, last time at 6 months you couldn't tell I was pregnant. This time at 6 months I was as big as I was at 41 weeks with my first. That doesn't mean the baby will be any bigger.

8 pound babies are normal in my family. Mine were 8"3 and 9"13.... I get envious when I hear of woman having 7 pound babies

If its any help I am 5'4 and my partner is 6"4 and they were the size of our babies.... Im pregnant now and dreading the size of this one as they seem to get bigger......
