Non-religious, but in the bible Daniel is commanded by King Cyrus to worship the life-sized dragon-idol Bel, then to fall down before an actual dragon. Daniel's wisdom brings him through these challenges, but he still ends up in a lion's den for seven days.

If you are a christian who believes that Milton's "Paradise Lost" has the same "word of God" status as the Bible, than you will believe that Belial is one of the fallen angels who rebelled against God.
In truth the name was stolen from an Old God. The only designation in most Bibles Belial is a personification of wickedness and ungodliness and alluded to as such in the Old and New Testaments. This happened to most of the Old Gods and Goddesses when the Christians needed evil scapegoats and threats to tweak possible Converts.

The etymology of the word belial is uncertain but is most commonly translated as
1. "without worth".
2. In the Book of Jubilees, uncircumcised heathens are called "sons of Belial".
3.In the Goetia, Belial is said to be very respectful.
4. Belial is also the demon of lies and guilt.
5.In the Hebrew Bible the term appears in several places to indicate the wicked or worthless, such as idolaters (Deut. 13:13)...
All could be real. I hope it helps.
