n even wif help the singtel cust svc itself. they confess they cant help me. so what's the point of me buying a laptop??? looking at others jolly well enjoying surfing, it makes me realy sad..

1. Wifi should be turned on.
2. Use your Wifi software for configuring wifi settings.
3. Before you can do #2, unclick "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" in Wireless Network tab of Wireless Connection Properties.

you don't have one of the settings set right. I think when you right click computer, then manage, then services, one of the services isn't set right. Try making sure that they are all allowed and running and not stopped. You don't need all them running, but to see if this is the problem, try it out. Make a note of the changes or go to system restore and create a restore point so you can change things back. Also use the wireless wizard. and turn the wi fi on.

If you already have a pc with broadband internet it will not work. Or your service provider may not be available in your area.
