Public hangings, torture, execution, why have humans have always killed so many other humans in wars and battles. this might not be relevent but humans have not just killed other humans they have killed so many animals for food ect. Public hangings and executions how one is left helpless to save him/or her self with hands tied up and no where to run. you could say that if so many lives were not lost it would be a crowded place. I would not agree, because humans and animals die naturally. I do practice religion, I do have faith in god but even if I say its gods will and all those killed goto heaven. It really puzzels me and does not answer my question. when will all humans ever stop killing, hurting and torturing ? will it ever happen ?

Humans have a hard time adapting. For example, we are always coming out with new technology. We can't adapt to what we have, we have to get better and better, and with this new technology, we find new ways to harm eachother, we have evolved from harming eachother with clubs to shooting a gun, and also insulting other people through the internet. For goodness' sake, even in our movies and videogames we can't have a moment's peace.
It's all about demeaning. I am bigger than you, I have power. Until one day when we have equal power, which is never, people probably won't be so cruel.

if you Lived in our city, where what separates us from Mexico, is the River, and we have to be hearing that there was another shooting and the victim was an innocent bystander, or there were drive-by shootings and some of the people involved are Dead or in the Hospital, or worse, there is a rapist on the Loose, and the Victims could not identify him because he wears a disguise.This is the result of the Drug Cartels that are infiltrating our City, some of us are exasperated with all of this. Can Violence be stopped? The only solution to all this senseless Killings would be God, who is going to do Justice for all that is Happening, remember 'Vengeance says the Lord." sometimes we get exasperated, when there is nothing we can do to stop all the Violence that is taking place, but we need to have Faith, because without faith we do not have anything.

Humans behave cruelly toward others because it makes them feel powerful and secure. Many humans are still creatures of emotion, and do not use rational thought very often. The only legitimate reason I can see for taking a human life is in defense, and even then only as a last resort.

As for killing animals for food, I would not equate that with cruelty toward other humans. We evolved to eat meat, it's something we do as naturally as lions do. Many farmers in fact prefer to kill animals quickly with no suffering involved.

I think most humans are decent people, but as a species we are still quite immature and ignorant, and we still have too many members who revel in violence.
