If your pregnant and dont know it, and you start taking birth control what will happen?

There's no way to tell, but any doctor will tell you that if there is a possibility you are pregnant to immediately stop taking the pills.

The hormones in birth control pills change the lining of your uterus (the endometrium) making it very hostile to a developing embryo which must implant to survive and grow. In some cases, a woman could have a very early miscarriage because of this effect of the pill.

But many women have taken the pill for a while not knowing they were pregnant and thankfully their babies were ok.

It's always best to play it safe. Nothing is "risk free" and that includes hormonal birth control.

nothing. the b/c prevents ovulation. If you're already pregnant you wouldn't be ovulating anyways. Your hormones might go wacky, and you probably increase the risk of a miscarriage, but that's about it. If you think you're pregnant you should take a test and stop the pill until you're sure.

you can loose the baby, thats why they give you a pregnancy test in the doctors office before they give you birth control. i always took a test just in case

I dunno but if you read the booklets with the contraceptive pills it says taking the pill while pregnant can lead to femininity or something (i cant remember). anyway i would think it would make your baby more feminine because of the hormones, so you could give birth to a boy who has female attributes.

It's harmful to the embryo. Take a test before starting the pill, please!
