when you water breaks... is it a big gush?? how does it feel?? how do u no if it is just leaking and not discharge..? what were your experiences.... thanks

It can just leak out slowly or come as a flood... in one paticular case of mine it came out as a sudden gush of fluid. It didnt hurt at all. Discharge is typically thicker and a tint of yellow... your water will likely be clear and almost just like ..... well water.

It can be a gush, or a trickle. Sometimes the baby's head can act like a cork, especially if the tear in the membrane is small, so you might not have a constant leak, just intermittent.
If you suspect you're ruptured, you need to call your doctor or go to the hospital to have them perform a simple test to make sure it isn't urine leakage. You don't need to deliver the baby within any certain time frame, but if you're ruptured for longer than 24 hours, they will probably want to put you on antibiotics to prevent infection.

When mine broke, it was a gush. My midwife on the phone was skeptical but there was absolutely no doubt.
Sometimes though it is a trickle.
If you can stop it by doing Kegel exercises, then it's probably not your water breaking, but there is a simple test your doctor or midwife can do.

with all 2 out of 3 of my pregnancies it gushed 1 time it just felt like pee lol

For all three of my children [I'm in labor right now and trying to pass time] its always been a light leak for me. Well.. the doctors tell me if it is my water breaking and after it breaks.. the pain increases!!!!.. A LOT! Well good luck. :]

mine was a big gush. it actually felt like a balloon popped then a gush of fluid, but ive heard other people say that its only a little bit and they barely knew it happenened

my sisters just leaked like she was slowly peeing herself.
the doctor broke my water both times
my mom was on the couch and hers just gushed with my brother

mine was just a small leak...like a trickle. it was more watery than a discarge. my instinct told me what it was, i knew immediatley! i think you will too! oh,and mine happened at the hospital as soon as i got there!
