I once had an acting coach who said that every character is just a bad imitation of somebody you know. Do you know any people who are "character-like"? Maybe somebody who works at a store - or a relative - or somebody you know socially. Pick one - and then tell a story with a beginning - middle - and end. You can use this formula...
For a long long time - every day I....
But one day I ......
And because of that....
and then because of that....
Until finally ....
And ever since that day....
And the moral of my story is....
