It is safe to wear pads all day and night, as long as you change it regularly.

I change mine at least every 4 hours (but this will depend on how heavy your flow is, I am sleeping of course. At night I put a fresh one on right before I go to bed and change it as soon as I get up.

Yes u definitely wear a pad, u wear one 24 hours a day, every day of your period...best thing to do is have different types of pads, ranging from light flow to heavy flow...when i wore pads (i wear tampons now) i used always overnights with wings, they work really really well for nighttime aborbency and dont shift so u have no accidents

change ur pad every time u go to the washroom or as frequently as needed...once u get used to things u may want to switch to tampons, these u have to be careful with, u cannt wear them too long, eight hours MAXIMUM...this is very important or u put urself at risk for TSS (toxic shock syndrome) in whcih ur body gets overloaded with bacteria and everything else from ur lining not getting expelled from ur body...so again, u would use the tampon suited to ur needs, light, normal, super or extra super absorbency depending on ur flow...and change them as often as u go to the washroom and u can wear one overnight as well up to eight hours

pads or tampons...if u start with a normal absorbency and find it barely absorbed anything by the time u go to the bathroom the next time, switch to lights, they are meant for spotting, very light flows...if its absorbed quite a bit and there is no accidents from it not absorbing enough, spilling over the sides, front or back (or leaking if ur wearing a tampon) (sorry for the graphincs) then stay at normal...if u have accidents and leaking or spilling, then u need to switch to super...

congrats on ur new experience!! keep urself clean and use good hygiene and ull have no probs!!
