I have been have a problem with my sugar levels. My doctor told me to monitor them until I go back and I am scheduled for the 3 hour gluecose test tomorrow. Sometimes about 1 1/2 hrs after eating I get really dizzy and weak and feel like I'm going to pass out. For a couple of days it was every time I ate. Now it does it occasionally. I have been keeping track og it and the dr says it shouldn't go above 120. Sometimes in the morning before I even eat or drink anything its already130. It has went up to 211 at its highest since I have been checking it. Some days it stays around 115 to 120 but other days its really bad. Is this gestational diabetes? I'm not really sure since its not all the time. I'm afraid that it won't show up in that test if i'm having a "good" day tomorrow.

Thats how I was before I took the 3 hour test last week. Execpt for when I was done feeling dizzy I had to use the bathroom. When they done my 3 hour test last week I failed it with my sugar level being over 300. Now I half to take a class tomommrow to change a lot of things. Don't worry like my doctor said if you have it, it will show up and if your showing scores like 211 then your chances seem to be very high. Good luck I went threw this last week so I know how you feel.

it'll show up, the 3 hour test may be extended for a few more hours just to check the fluctuation of your blood sugar. You'll be okay, I had diabetes before i had gotten pregnant, and with patience and focus its very managible. There is a pill that you can take during the days your gluecose levels are high that is safe for your baby. Good luck

Oh man, Nichole, I'm afraid it is. I got the same way when I was pregnant with my youngest son. It doesn't have to be all the time, but if it's especially high in the morning or after you eat, yes, I'd say a 3 hour glucose test is in order.

Don't worry, with proper monitoring and lots of stress tests for the baby, following the proper diet, the baby won't have any problems, nor you. The good news is, after the baby is born, it will right itself, bad news is you're at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes earlier.

the days it is lower are probably the days you are consuming less sugar. Trust me I just had the 3 hour test last week. They load you up with sugar. It made me feel like i was going to pass out and very warm and i passed. IF you have it they will catch it. good luck

if it has been bothering you for awhie then you will likely test high for the 3 hr test. GD is the pits, but they will help you with a eating plan to keep you healthy.
