I just wanted to get some opinions. I was speaking to someone who says that my husband and I don't match as a couple because I have piercings and tattoos and he doesn't. They mentioned that usually if one partner has tattoos or piercings the other does as well.

I was wondering is there any other couples out there like us? I'm 31 and have loved piercings and tattoos since I was a kid. I have my nose, lip, tongue, nipples, navel and clit done while my husband only had one ear ring.
IIt's not like I'm wild and crazy. I'm a pretty normal 31 year old woman, actually a business woman (I manage and oversee a recording studio)

My man doesn't mind me having them. I am totally secure about my looks and marriage. It just got me wondering if any other women are pierced and tattooed and have husbands without either

I got my 1st tatoo 9 months after my 3rd son was born I was 23 , my husband at the time had no tatoo's or piercing's I had my naval done , my ears done and I wanted to get my tongue done but i chickened out after my niece got it done and she talked funny lmao.

I got my next 2 tatoo's after my 5th child was born and his dad my 2nd husband already had 10 tatoo's on his body and he had his ear pierced .

My 1st husband hated it he thought I was going through my 2nd childhood , well DUH you turned me into a married woman with kids from age 16 wake up dopey of course I was going to rebel against you , you were more like my daddy then my husband psycho.he absolutley refused for our sons to even get their ears pierced my god the guy needed to have a large sh!t and relieve some of that stress.

Ooops off track again lmao.I dont see what the problem is I know a few business people male and female who have tat's and piercings and who's spouses dont it depends on the person not society.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. When I met my husband I had 2 tattoos and he had none, but he has both of his ears pierced and his tongue pierced. Now that we are married I've got 4 tattoos and he's finally got one and is still pierced. I think tattoos and piercings have nothing to do with whether a marriage will work out or not.

Tattoos are beautiful...and addicting!

its a tough one! wen i met my BF i had one tattoo (he had none) and he really didnt want me to get anymore, so i agreed! nearly 4 years down the road, were stil togehter wit a beautiful baby girl... i have several more tattoos and ironically hes got an appointment in the morning to get one of his tattoos expanded into a 3/4 sleeve!! i think some times people have certain ideas about how people perceive tattooed and peirced people; maybe this is part of wats putting him off? best thing you can do is ask him why he feels so strongly against it, and also give him your reasons why you want the peircing!! at the end of the day a peircing is very easily removed and allowed to heal over, maybe you could suggest it on a trial basis...he might end up really liking the peircing!! im sure your husband loves you very much and should respect your decision, but it may just be something he finds really unnatractive...and if it repulses him maybe its not worth it?!

Have you seen those couples who dress identically? Its not just the older ones, sometimes whole families dress alike. I find that creepy, like they have no personality of their own. Same thing with mother/daughter outfits, scary. If you and your husband are fine with how each other looks, then that's all that matters. Don't listen to other people.

I don't mean to slam ya hon, but tatts and peircings just scream stupid, and they say that the only way you can get attention is to have something written on yo bod. You don't see top people in top jobs with tatts.... you see no docs with them, no attorneys, and no one outside of maybe Hollywood trash with them. I wouldn't allow my child to remain in a class with a teacher with tatts. I would never marry a guy with them, I'd never allow a surgeon with one to cut on me.... strictly blue collar and hill billy stuff. If that's you, I'm sad. Despite what you say about yourself, even your good associates won't tell you the truth. And the sad thing about tatts, is they slide south, fade disapate, and blurr.... yucko. sorry, my opinion, and that of lots of people... as I said, don't mean to be rude, just truthful, and giving you an honest opinion.
