I am an Indian (most regulars know that).
I think Umar Gul has been the player of this tournament for Pakistan. HATS OFF TO UMAR GUL
Umar Gul contributed the most in Pakistan's success in my eyes. Then why are most people praising only Afridi & Misbah.
My hero has been UMAR GUL

This question is based on what i have seen so far in the questions-answers after the final.
Twenty20 is batsmen's game but bolwers decide the result. Gul & RP Singh should be given same credit that is given to Yuvraj & Misbah

May be it's becoming more of batsmen's game and seldom bowlers are hailed in the same breath as batsmen.
Gul & RP's performance are magnificient.

You are particularly right.
I dont think that one can say that Afridi was the man for pakistan. or only misbah or only our cuty sweety captain Shoaib but i think it was the combination of the whole team who made the things possible. i think the game bases on the collectivity. After all we shouldnt even forget sohail who did great bowling and even great batting in the last match although he got out soon. i mean he did 2 sixes in 2 shots (if i m not wrong) and he is not such an experienced player yet. I think that was terrific.
And then there is of course Umar Gul. Absolutely phenomenal bowling.
Not to forget younus khan and all the others. They didnt do THAT well but he definitely contributeted to the "victory" (i know they didnt win but i think the new team won a lot of hearts not only of pakitanis but maybe also from Indians - like vice versa).
I think its the COLLECTIVITY!!!

Because 20 20 is a batsman's game, so thats why maybe everyone are praising Misbah, if Gul had also batted well like Misbah then everyone would have started praisng him too...
Thats what happens in cricket.

confident i think of Umar Gul could shop his place... Rana Naved could have been given greater try opportunities while he first did rather properly interior the single-Day activity, his comeback hasn't inspired me that lots tbh and he's probable previous it now. the lads who i've got self assurance should be in with a shout for the try team are Yasir Arafat and Sohail Tanvir.

There is no doubt in it..there is no match for Umer Gul and what i feel is that he can be a good substitute for Arrogant Shoaib ! actulay i have talked alot about him when he had replaced Shoaib and asif in ICC champions trophy when they failed dop test..but you are right.....he should be discused now too...So yes he is awesome and a great player for Pakistan ! Pakistan is blessed with superb bowling !

Yes he was the wrecker in chief of many a batting line up wanting to escalate after 10 overs end up often with bruises.
