It makes me think of rising illiteracy rates.

And Bailey is a BOYS name. Changing the spelling doesn't make it less masculine.

Sorry. :( It just makes me think the parents weren't sure how to spell Bailey, so they took a shot and missed badly. If you like Bailey, at least spell it correctly. There's nothing "cute" or "precious" about being a 40-year-old with a poorly spelled name. LOL She won't be an illiterate toddler forever. ;)

My nieces' middle name is Bailey, so I am used to it being spelled like that. It is very cute and girly, if you are thinking of naming your daughter that, go right ahead, it is a keeper.

I think the way that you want to spell it is the best! Bailey! Very nice name!

It's too precious.

Bailey isn't an uncommon name, but when you call your daughter on the playground, she'll probably be the only one that comes running. (I looked it up on the Social Security website - #112 for 2006.) While Bailey isn't my style, it is an appealing name, and certainly a current choice.

Baylie strikes me as over the top.

I prefer the more traditional spelling "Bailey". I think its cuter- Baylie seems more of a nickname.

And, she'll have trouble with its spelling daily. I had a friend in jr high/hs named nicholle- and she really did have problems with everyone misspelling her name.

Bailey is a very popular name for dogs, not to mention I'm not fond of boys names for girls. You don't see people naming their sons Jennifer or Emily.

I like it. I kinda curled my nose when my sister first announced that she was naming her little girl Bailey, but now seeing this pretty little blond, I couldn't think of a better name for her!!
