You seem to be in a rush. I had to read Fahrenheit 451 this summer and I actually loved the book.

First off, is this HW? I'm not opposed to helping with HW, just DOING people's HW.

Clarisse-

She grew up with her uncle who told her stories of the past.
She's overly curious about everything.
She's the one who started to get Montag interested in things.

Mildred-

She's Montag's wife.
Mildred is obsessed with her "family".
She killed herself in the beginning of this book.
She's the one who turned Montag in.

It's been about four or five years since I read the book, but from what I remember, Clarisse was very much a subversive character. She was a free spirit and rebelled against the norms of her society, though I can't recall whether she did it consciously or not. Mildred on the other hand was very mindful of societal rules. She was terrified when her husband started going against the grain -- all she wanted was a quiet, normal life.

No one can really give you a complete picture unless you read the book yourself. It was an excellent novel that's really stayed with me, so I highly recommend reading it for your own sake as well as for the grade.
