I totally agree.
I think it's because:
A) They won't accept that Weis is not the next coming of God like they believed he was.
B) They want to justify the reason why they have had ZERO minority coaches before Willingham. And why they never will again. Scapegoat.
C) Because they're Catholic and Catholics NEVER admit they're wrong about anything!

Why are ND fans blaming him for? Ty Willingham was fired a couple years ago by Notre Dame & later was hired by the University of Washington to be their football coach. I don't know what problem ND fans have with this & they soon better get over it & try to figure out how to get their team to start winning some games for once!

Weis has had 3 recruiting classes. His first year was rushed but he still recruited 15 players. His next two classes he recruited the 8th ranked classes. He actually has recrutied some good players. That Young kid was 11th ranked in the country in 2006. He should be a monster on the oline already based on the talent he came in with. In 2006 ND had 5 of the top 100 players. The elite high school players like this should be contributing as sophmores and making the team better. The truth is Weis does not know how to develope talent and the ND fans are in denial. They don't want to have to endure another rebuilding process. Unfortunately that is what they are going to have to do.

It is not Jimmy Clausens fault and it definetly is not Ty Willinghams fault. Answerman talks about the team not being able to play together. That is a coaching problem, who is the coach that would be Weiss. Nobody was giving Willingham credit for Notre Dame winning games last year so why is it his fault now that they are losing? Jimmy Clausen is a freshman its not his fault his offensive line sucks as well as the defense. It is Charlie Weiss fault for not properly recruiting and they are overrated. It is a rebuilding season, lots of teams have them.

Yeah, it is Ty Willinghams fault that Notre Dame has just about the dumbest football team I have ever seen. He must have slipped them some stupid pills or something, because the only thing holding them back right now is the fact that they play terrible together and constantly make crucial mistakes which put each game out of reach.
While we are placing blame though, can I blame Ty for Michigan starting of so bad too. It would make things a lot easier for me.

Notre Dame was not overrated ever this year... I still say Charlie Weis is a good coach... the reason our team sucks is because we don't keep a coach around long enough to keep steadily recruiting kids. give charlie 2-3 more years and we'll be back up with the elite ncaa teams.

The truth is (and the experts say this too) is that Ty's last recruiting class and Charlie's first recruiting class were both abyssmal...but ND has a top ten class this season, and THE top class next year, so I think next year they will be back...
