Cubs fan here..But lets say Milwakee and Cubs tie with identical records, how will the tie breaker be done? Coin toss or who ever won more games against each other during the regular season?

I KNOW there one playoff game for the tie breaker, but how is it decided to play in either one's home field? Coin toss or who ever won more games against each other during the regular season

If both teams were heading to October (one as the wildcard) no matter what, then MLB consults a prepared list of tiebreaker methods to determine which team wins the division championship and which gets the wildcard berth. Head-to-head record is the first tiebreaker, and for 2007, this would be the Cubs, who took the season series with the Brewers, 9-6.

But it is HIGHLY unlikely the NL WC team will come from the Central. If this obtains, and they do finish tied, they will have a one-game playoff, winner takes all. Coins were flipped a few weeks ago to determine home sites for many potential scenarios (more can be flipped if necessary). For determining the 2007 NL Central between Chicago and Milwaukee, the Cubs would host the game, likely on October 1 (weather permitting).

A one game sudden death playoff game, were anything can happen. Their can be a walk off home run to win the division for the Cubbies or the Brewers. The Cubs can lose 30-3 or maybe even the Brewers!

Who even thought one game will decide the fate of a entire 162 game season?

I believe a one game playoff as neither of those teams will be the WC.

in that case, they play 1 game and the one who wins it win the division.

you look at head to head competitions since it's a odd number(19 games) the one with better head to head wins.
