In a word, YES! Think about the track. The Nordschlife is 14+ miles and 187 corners, all of which are either going uphill, going downhill, at the top of a hill or at the bottom of a hill. No other circuit that I know of has that kind of layout. I haven't actually driven the course in real life but I have played it in video games and I guarantee you that it is the most challenging track I have ever virtually raced on. In the world of racing, there is the Nordschlife...and there's every other track.

It has to be! How do you memorize a 14 mile race track? Gran Turismo fans all know how hard the track is. They have a 24 hour race every year that I'd love to try someday. Boris Said is the only American driver to post a win there.

The ring is certainly one of the hardest race tracks in the world. There are many time when the drivers cannot see the road ahead of them becasue of elevation changes. There are over 150 turns. It is almost impossible to memorize the tack unless it is driven constantly.

i was there this year for the GP. there were still people driving round the rest of the track. they had Marshall's herding us across the track like cattle. we heard more that a few ambulances charging up the track behind our seats so i would say there was more than one crash. at one time they had to stop the public sessions while they sorted out one particularly nasty one. talking to one of the officials, he said it is a very difficult track to drive. with it being in the mountains the weather is totally unpredictable too, which adds to drivers problems.

I've never been there in real life but I have played in in gran turismo 2,3,4 and on forza 2. It's the most difficult one on videogames so it's probably pretty challenging in real life.

I have also seen tiff and clarkson on it many times, and they always mention how dangerous it is, so yeah, i guess it's probably the most challenging track.

I would have to say yes also. Like the answerer above, I've driven it on Gran Turismo 4 and it is very hard to get used to. Slow corners, fast corners, blind corners, corners over rises. It throws just about every condition at a driver. I would love to be able to go over and drive it for real one day.

Uhuh it's hard... Looking at the track map already gives you a head ache, imagine if you have to race there when it rains!
