Well, the name in its original form - Evangeline - is gorgeous. Lots of nicknames, including Vangie, which I think could be great for a spunky little girl, the traditional Eve/Evie and, of course, Lina.
But the thing about taking a name that is already uncommon and giving it an unusual spelling, is that you've exponentially increased the odds that your child's name will be misunderstood.
If you love the "leigh/lee" ending, I'd stick with Rileigh, Marleigh, Carlee. Not my style, but they're two syllables and recognizable.
Otherwise, you're probably better off to stick with Evangeline. She'll be the only one in her class, and I'm sure you'll get tons of positive comments about her unusual, but elegant name.

It looks like a contrived misspelling of a pet form of Evangeline. If you like Evangelie (seems the most sensible spelling), I'd use Evangeline or Evangelina as the formal, given name, with that as a nickname. Hope that helps!

to you and all mother's out there, from the looks of this page, this name is going to be way over done for baby girls born in 2007/2008. half the woman on here have evangeline(or some version of it) on their list somewhere. it's pretty, but you don't want her to be the third eve in her class at school do you? i remember when there were two danielles and three jamies etc....

Hey, it's unique and cute. I never thought of that. I suggest Evangelee, considering Evangeleigh could be pronounced Ee van ge lee n
