How about a self-cleaning toothbrush that cleans itself after every 5 brushings.

I am not sure if you want Ideas or explanations on how to write about it?
So based on the others offering Ideas, I'm going to offer explanations on how to write it.
First you need to check at the patent office to see if your idea is already done.
While you are there looking check and see if their patents could offer you a way to file yours. IE. use the format that is already in use to make yours look professional too.
If yours is still unique you can see how it has been done and change the words and pictures to make yours work.
You should know that the patent laws change all the time, and that currently it states that if you tell more than 25 people about your idea with out getting non-disclosure agreements from them you could be waisting your time.
I really recommend that if you are wanting to really get a patent that you should go through a patent attorney.
( approx. $ 6,000 - 40,000 US dollars )
Not cheap I know, but cheaper than getting sued for patent infringement.
I added a few links you might want to check out.
hope this helps.

Hands-free toothbrush, battery operated. In the morning you just place a mechanical cap on your head which drops down a toothbrush angled to go directly into your mouth . You can then go about your morning routine 'hands-free' ...allowing your toothbrush to do the work as you get dressed...etc.

HOw about an actual sonic toothbrush. It would emit sound waves and loosen up staff without damaging teeth. The limits to prevent damage would be the challenge. You could use something similar to a sonar emitter only higher frequency.

How about inventing a onetime use toothbrush, toothpast aleady on it on one side and floss on the opposite side? Can be made out of laquered papermache and sealed in plastic.
