According to Epicurius (sp) the meaning of life is to live as simply and as relaxed as you possibly can. Achieve happiness not by what you have but by what you can live without. Enjoying your time on planet earth is crucial and is what life is about!

Life has real meaning when we live for a real purpose. Real purpose requires God by the very definition of the word, "purpose".

To Mike B who says that reproduction and death is our meaning. George Washington had no children. Does that mean his life had no meaning? Reproduction and death and life and eating and sleeping, etc are all essentials of life in general but don't have anything to do with purpose and meaning. No natural process can give meaning.

What is the meaning of Life? you asked. To me the meaning of Life is first of all Give thanks to God, for giving us a chance to be born, and he will always be looking at us to see how we are going to Live that Life. God gave us full reign to do whatever we wanted to do in our Life, but we also have Knowledge, to distinguish the good and the Bad. When we are called Home to be with him, we will respond for our actions. That to me is The Meaning of Life. If someone does not agree, to each his own.

It's the simple truth and people hate it when they hear this answer, but the real and TRUE meaning of life scientificly is just two things!
1. To reproduce offspring
2. To die

dont think too hard about it, as that question has gotten so many peoples knickers in a twist..
the "meaning of life" has been pondered, discussed, debated and argued about since man has been capable of abstract thought..
there is no actual "meaning of life".. life just "is".. we just "are".. the sooner you come to accept that, the sooner you will find happiness in your life, and, im guessing, it will be easier for you to move to the next "plane of existence" when your time comes..
