well im 12 and im get reely freaked out wen i see the blood and stuff and my period lasts like 1 week cuz i started like in april should i get pill to make it last shorter or wait till ist regular?

It will take time for your body to adjust to the changes going on inside of it. It can take about 2 years for the period to regulate itself. Also, the length of a normal period runs from 3-7 days. I started mine when I was 13 and have had them last a week (7 days).

If you start to notice a lot of cramping with your periods that makes it hard for you to function please let your mom and doctor know what's going on.
