i was born in france, have relatives there and have a big affinity there to. but i reside in britain right now.

theres brits around me who want to portray me as a brit and its making me annoyed.
has anyone got advice?

Just ignore it and tell them you're French.
Walk away is the best thing to do!

You may have come to where you are now, when you were a little boy, but that was 23 years ago,...and you probably have an English accent. You look English from the photos you put up here once, very much so..but then again, what's a Brit look like? What's a French person look like? If I put a French man, British man, and an American man in the same room, very likely, I couldn't tell who came from where...unless you are speaking with a French accent, then be prepared for them to continue to make that mistake, it's an honest one...no one is 'portraying' you as anything other than what you appear...There are Black people, with English accents...all colors, if you live there, and talk that way, then they assume nothing else..it really isn't a big thing!
