My 14 year old was born with hardly any breast tissue on her tight breast so her breasts are grottestly mis-sized. She is basically an A cup on the right and a C cup on the left. My insurance company has thankfully agreed to pay for a breast implant to be put in that right breast but wont pay for her to get a lift on that left breast so they can be even. What or how can this work? Right now the way her breast are you cant find bras or shirts/dresses/swimsuits to fit her as the breasts are such drastically different sizes, the implant would make the right side a C cup also however it will be perky and perfectly round where as the left one will hang/sag still like a normal boob. I dont know what to do, I dont want to put her through the surgery if it isnt going to fix the problem. We would have to pay for the lift ourselves if we want that done and its horribly expensive. This has been very embarrasing for my daughter and I just want to fix the issue for her. Anyone?

if you don't want to have her get the breast implant try finding a padded bra so that both sides will look symmetrical.
or she could get a water bra to make it more natural
i don't know what else you could do
hope it helps

I have implants in both my breasts. When the implant is first put it in, it's very high, tight, and swollen. As time goes by, it "drops". She'd have to massage the breast with the implant. That helps with the healing and dropping process. I was given seven massages to do each twenty times. I must do this four times a day for the first 6 months, then I'll have to cut back. Massaging also helps in preventing capsular contracture, which is the formation of scar tissue around the implant. That causes it to squeeze the implant resulting in an unusual hard firm feeling of the breast. Talk to the plastic surgeon who will perform the surgery. It may be better to place the implants OVER the pectoral muscle. Most doctors do UNDERS, but overs are better for women with little breast tissue. Silicone is also better for those with little breast tissue, however there may be an age minimum, like 22 on silicone. I think it would be difficult to convince a surgeon to use silicone at such a young age. Also maybe you can talk to the surgeon and explain the situation. He may find that she will in fact not need a lift once the implant settles in and drops. He may even sympathize with you and take a deduction for the lift. He's going to get paid a pretty penny from your insurance company for her to have this, he may consider doing this for you at a reasonable cost. Best of luck. Remember this is painful experience to put her through. It'll be hard on her. I'm 19 and found that this surgery was very easy on me. However there's women that I know that said this was a more painful experience than childbirth. I'm part of a forum for women with breast implants. Its women only and there you can ask questions, answer or just browse. I wish I had known of this website before my surgery, but anyways, I've learned the most about implants from it. You may be able to find women who've used reputable doctors in your area. www.breastimplants411.com You'll need to create a user ID and password, and probably call in to verify yourself (like I said no men allowed!!) and click forum at the top, then click breast augmentation discussion forum. ;)

It'll fix the problem of her breasts being two different sizes.

You'd have to pay for the lift out of pocket though as that is purely a cosmetic procedure.

The only way people would notice the implant is if she didn't wear a bra, then they'd see her real C that sags a bit and then the perky implant.

Talk to HER about it, if she still wants it done without the lift, then go for it.
