I've never been to Disney World, but it's that way at Disneyland here in California.
It's more annoying than amusing, since about half of them are small and badly laid out -- you're deposited into a crowded store and have to "excuse me" and "pardon me" your way to the exit.
Their best set-up is at the exit to Pirates of the Caribbean -- the exit passage is clear, but the store is directly to your right and looks very inviting.

nah. I got used to it. I've gone to every Disney park and Universal, and Bush Gardens, and Seaworld, and....you get my point? If you want a theme park that doesn't do that go to Cedar Point. Disney is so commercial and they make a message that "its for the kids", but if that were true why would they make us pay so much. Sorry, I'm on a rant, I could actually go farther then this, but I'll stop.

yeah it's funny. I like the store where you walk in and there's a giant dinosaur and you can make your own potato head. -MGM i think. I'm pretty sure they made fun of this kinda thing on South Park. I remember Cartman saying "a conviently place gift shop." I resist the urge to buy things from it but its nice to see all the variety of items.
